Global IT player with further growth plans in Austria

25 Years of Netcetera

Netcetera celebrates its 25th anniversary. What started as a Swiss start-up has grown into a global player today. Also in Austria: Netcetera GmbH has tripled the number of its employees in only four years and serves customers all over the world with products for secure digital payment. At the anniversary celebration in Vienna at the beginning of October, the company took a trip back in time and looked ahead to the future.

Netcetera was founded in Zurich in 1996 and has since developed from a Zurich start-up to a globally successful software company with locations from Europe to the Middle East. One of these strategic locations is Austria, where Netcetera has been successfully advancing its secure digital payment offering since 2017, thanks to a shoulder-to-shoulder partnership with the then partner company Nexperts.

On October 6, 2021, Netcetera celebrated these successes and the anniversary year with renowned customers and partners in Vienna. Everyone highly appreciated the personal exchange after a long time. On site were also Andrej Vckovski, CEO of Netcetera Holding Company and Ronnie Brunner, Fellow and Member of the Board of Directors. Both are founding members of Netcetera and still actively involved in the company. They highlighted various milestones from Netcetera's last 25 years and answered burning questions - also about the company's future and ambitions.

Further growth and strengthening of locations planned

Netcetera is mainly active in the payment sector in Austria and Germany, serving customers with its digital and mobile payment solutions. Increasingly, the company successfully brings further solutions to these markets, such as the products Forward Publishing for media houses and publishers or Inspect AR in the field of augmented reality. Netcetera is thus pursuing its internationalization strategy and implementing it step by step.

Vlado Galevski, Global Director Sales and Location Director Vienna, describes the company's development: "The Austrian market has recognized and rewarded the digital excellence we bring to the financial and enterprise ecosystem. Our reputation for quality, which we have been building for 25 years, is what we owe this acceptance to." He says, "I remember like it was yesterday, celebrating our opening party for the Vienna office in 2018. At that time, the team consisted of two people. Today, we count nearly 30 colleagues in Vienna and continue to see and track significant growth, despite these challenging times. We also attribute this to our motto: All businesses deserve digital excellence and it's in our DNA to deliver it."

The innovative power of its employees is Netcetera's greatest asset and creates the foundation for stability and further growth. Kurt Schmid, Marketing & Innovation Director Secure Digital Payments and Country Director for Austria, says: "I am proud that in Austria we combine local expertise of employees with a global view on the payment business. This has enabled us to triple the workforce in Austria after the acquisition of Nexperts in the last four years. In a short period of time, the qualities of all our Austrian locations have become apparent. For example, Hagenberg offers proximity to research and education, Linz grew into Netcetera's third largest location worldwide and Vienna is home to our international sales team."

Netcetera also took the anniversary year as an opportunity to write down and illustrate its history and outlook into the future in a creative style on about 140 pages. Many different protagonists such as founders, current and former employees, customers and partners share their experiences around Netcetera's journey. With this exciting story, the company says thank you for the last 25 years and looks to the future with strong growth plans and a sustainable product pipeline.
